A quick introduction of how easy it is to create a card with the EasyGiftWizard online app. Create this beautiful custom poem certificate in less than 3 min. The art image is automatically selected but you can switch it at will. Then save the image and email it to someone else who can then print it, poem, art, and all right on their own color printer FREE.

Using SPECIAL/LETTERS for a custom Mother or Grandmother Poem.

The SPECIAL/LETTERS menu option has Letters and Special poems which have an auto-word replacement feature. IE: A Letter from Santa can insert the Childs's name, city, a friend and toy, etc. In a poem, anywhere the original poem said Grandmother, it can automatically replace it with Nana, Mom, Sister, etc. This five-minute video will train you in all you need to get started with this fun feature.

Create & Print Birthday Invitations

Creating a simple Birthday Invitation and then printing it. Open the screen capture software BEFORE creating the invitation. Go into FULL SCREEN. (Use the ESC key to exit out of FULL SCREEN.)

Introduction to the Photo Background feature in the EasyGiftWizard

This is a demonstration of how simple it is to remove the background from a photo in the EasyGiftWizard. We then use the resulting image as an element in a new image. Here we select a photo of a car in front of trees. We want the car only, no trees. Using traditional methods it could take 10 to 20 minutes to crop to the element and then mask it out by hand. In the EasyGiftWizard it is done automatically in about one minute. We could do it just as easily with a person with curly hair or a furry pet. 1. - From the MAIN menu select the button marked "BG REMOVAL." 2. - On the popup select the resolution you want for the resulting image, REGULAR or HIGH. * If you want to use the result in the WIZARD, then choosing REGULAR resolution is normally sufficient. * HIGH resolution would be used if you are also intending to use the resulting image for some high graphics purposes. Like painting a portrait with the "EasyArtistWizard™" which paints art for you, or maybe in PaintShop or Photoshop. * REGULAR resolution uses ONE credit whereas HIGH resolution uses FIVE credits. * Credits renew monthly. The number of credits is based on your subscription, FREE = 10, Member = 50, PRO = 500 3. - After selecting the resolution then a dialog will appear allowing you to select a photo from your hard drive. * Use a photo with a clear object, up front in the photo. It needs to be distinct from its background so the AI app can determine the object from its background. * The software is smart but can not guess what out of many objects you want to keep. It can not select one person out of a group of people. * Provide a good photo, the resulting image can not be any better than the photo used. * If the primary object in a photo is small and burry, or the original photo is of low resolution then the resulting image might be blurry. 4. - Once you have selected the photo the rest is automatic. You can continue working while the app processes your image but it is very fast, usually less than a minute. I just wait. 5 - After processing the image then a dialog box pops up requesting where you want to name and save the resulting PNG file. * DO NOT change the file type from .PNG, as it now has a "transparent" background. * The "transparent" background allows you to place it over any new background you want as is demonstrated in this video.

Photo Card - a FAST Quick-Start Idea for EasyGiftWizard.com; 2 minutes

This video provides yet another idea of how to use EasyGiftWizard. This is a VERY FAST overview video of how easy it is to create a basic photo Card using the FreeCardWizard.com online app. 0:11 - Choose a Background. 0:17 - Add clipart, size, and move it. 0:34 - Add text object, type in the text desired, move, size, and rotate it. 0:50 - Add more text. 1:00 - Select A for ALL TEXT, choose the font for ALL the TEXT objects. 1:03 For TEXT color, select A for ALL TEXT again, use the Color Sample Tool to choose a color for the text out of the art. This changes ALL TEXT COLOR to match the art. 1:09 - Select the second text object, click on SHADOW. 1:14 - Click rotate to rotate the second text object and its shadow. 1:18 - Add a PHOTO from your hard drive, move and size it. 1:34 - ROUND the corners of the photo. 1:44 - The finished Photo Card.

If you want to print from it, then realize your print size and resolution is based upon your computer's graphics card and screen size-resolution.

Rate the Letter Art - Optional Letter Art Survey

G. H. Masters creates a background painting.

Many of the Landscape backgrounds in the EasyGiftWizard were painted by G. H. Masters. That's me!

This video shows the steps I used to create a re-mastered watercolor. I used a classic masterpiece and the actual Cliffs above Greenriver, WY, as reference.

Here is a little history fun about this painting and these cliffs...

The original painting "1888 Cliffs of Green River" by Moran was watercolor study in 1888. Thomas Moran painted and sketched these cliffs over 40 times times between 1871 and 1900. His most famous oil in 1881, was used on a U.S. postage stamp in 1998.

One of his most beautiful painting of these cliffs has the moon in that gorge between the two cliff faces. I love that one! My only problem with it is that puts the moon almost due north. But who'd know unless you knew the cliffs in the Green River Wyoming area.

These are the cliffs are almost directly above the banks of the river where John Wesley Powell first entered the waters of the "Green" in 1869 at what is now Green River, Wyoming. From there, Powell was the first to map the Green River into the Colorado and down through the Grand Canyon to California.

The tall red faced cliff in the center is called "Toll Gate Rock". Here the rivers edge presses tight up to the edge of the cliff leaving just a little room between the cliff face and the rivers bank. There are many and varied stories why it named this. One says that a road was cut here and a toll charged for those who needed to pass. This version was probably created from a modern confusion over the Toll Gate canyon route now taken by I-81, further down in Utah. My favorite version from the older townsfolk of Green River, tells that when cattle were driven through this valley, to the train to ship them. Outlaws would climb from the back side of these cliffs. Leaving their horses in a small valley behind these cliffs, where I-80 runs today. Perched on top, a sharpshooter with a rifle, would wait while the others of his gang would hold up the cowboys driving cattle. Then the outlaws would charge a "Toll" for each head of cattle the cowboys were driving. If they would not pay, then the sharp shooter would pick off a cow or steer, until they did.

These cliffs are just 20 miles from where I am now sitting as I type this. I used the accrual cliffs as part of my reference for this art. Each year in June, I do an art show just below these cliffs. My booth across the river to the right from about where the band of Indians in the painting are shown. ~ G. H. Masters

STEP to make a Letter from Santa ...

In either EasyGiftWizard or the FreeGiftWizard

1. Select MORE>SPECIAL/LETTERS

2. choose LETTER

3. Note the letter selected automatically chooses a background, which you can change at will.

4. Complete the information form, IE: Child's name, state, City, Toy, Friends name, etc.

5. Letter is created inserting information like names, toys, etc., where appropriate.

6. Usually remove the MAT.

When using a subscription or Guest Membership from EasyGiftWizard you can go to...

1. Select MORE>SAYINGS

2. SEARCH SAYINGS, ENTER "Santa" to search for any letters.

3. Choose a LETTER

4. Continue as above.

Introduction to mats - PART 1 - Mat Basics - EASY

When you select a background image the Wizard automatically adds a MAT object above the background. Its purpose is to create the illusion of the art being matted with a single art mat. The Matt object has the look of a cut bottom mat for an art print. The mat opening is 8 x 10 (portrait) or 10 x 8 (landscape).

* If the art is 8.5 x 11 (portrait) or 11 x 8.5 (landscape) the mat edge is the sides of the art with the center mat opening fading back the art image to allow for overprinting.

* If the image selected is 8 x 10 or 10 x 8, the mat is an Ivory Color. This video teaches you how to select other colors for the mat if you wish to.

* If you want the art to be bright (full saturation), not faded back, use the "Transparency" slider for the object.

Activating Clipboard history

( MEDIUM SKILL LEVEL)

Activate the Windows Clipboard History: This only needs to be done once. Once done it will be saved as your default Click in the Search Bar.

Type "Clipboard" into the Search Bar.
In the results, click on OPEN.
On the Clipboard settings window, be sure the Clipboard history is set ON.
Close the setting window. Clipboard History ON is now your default.
Check it is ON by holding down the WinKey and while still holding it down press the "v" key. This opens the Clipboard History to use. To use an object in the History click on it and it will be pasted and close the History popup.
Otherwise, close the popup by clicking anywhere on the screen without pasting.

Copy a Name or Poem into the EasyGiftWizard using the Bridge

( MEDIUM SKILL LEVEL)

NOTE: In the video, I said Control Q keys I meant "Window Key Q"

Before trying to copy text using the bridge be sure you understand how the "Windows Clipboard History" works and that you have activated it. Activating the Windows Clipboard is a one-time process. If you are not sure your "Windows Clipboard History" is activated then watch the previous video "Activating Clipboard history." * In your Browser, open the EasyGiftWizard app. * Activate the Bridge from the KKSoft Main Menu. * Open the KKSoft "FIrst Name Almanac" * Look up a name's meaning. * Select "No Picture" if it is blank, or "Royal Parchment." You need as clean a background as possible to allow the Bridge to capture text accurately. * On the "Customize and Print" screen select the font "Universal Hand" this is a simple clean font for the Bridge to read. * Click "Preview" to view and capture the name's meaning. * Position your cursor at the upper left of the text to capture. * Use ctrl-q to activate the Bridge capture, and drag across the text to be captured. * If it is not a clean read then move the end a little to re-capture a cleaner read. * Click Enter * Edit the capture if needed. * Use the taskbar or Alt-Tab to navigate to the EasyGiftWizard. * Select the art desired to print on. * Click Add Text then using WINKEY-v open the "Windows Clipboard History" and paste in the origin and root name. * Repeat, pasteing text for each part of the name. * Using the Wizard tools adjust the size, position, font, font color, etc. * Add photo, clipart, etc. to create your document. * When you are satisfied click PRINT. This will print or save to PDF, name and art, everything.
